Laurie Paul Memorial Safety Equipment Fund
and
The Luke Fund
NASDN has received several generous donations to help handlers buy protective equipment for their K9 partners. We hope to assist as many NASDN members as possible in buying this sort of equipment. Donations to this fund are welcome.
The following equipment qualifies for funding:
- Protective dog boots
- Cooling vests
- Lighted equipment for the dog to wear
- Floatation devices
You may apply for some other item you think should qualify as protective equipment for your Search Dog. Contact Erik Strohm or John Beck if you would like the Board to consider it in advance.

The Luke fund was established in 2000 by Mary McCormick, DMV, in memory of her K9 partner Luke. This fund awards grants to assist with veterinary expenses resulting from injuries a Search Dog receives during actual working activities. Donations to this fund are welcome.
