NASDN Evaluations

NASDN’s Evaluation Standards underwent a major revision at the start of 2016. The new Standards will be implemented as follows:

Implementation Plan

Task Books:

  • Effective immediately. Everyone gets one to use as a training guide and start getting signed off.
  • Task books do not have to be signed off to request an evaluation in 2016 (spring or fall).
  • Task Books will be required starting in 2017 to request evaluations. (That’s one year to get them signed off)

New Evaluation Standards:

  • Spring seminar 2016: Use existing standards as is. However, encourage AS folks to request the 2 hour (40-80 acre) test to meet our new standards.
  • Fall seminar 2016: New standards will be in effect at this seminar. Task books will NOT required.
  • 2017 and out: Task Books will be required to be completed in order to request evaluations starting in 2017.

Evaluator/Instructor Standards:

  • Effective immediately
  • Develop list of evaluators that will be approved without submitting request form. (BOD will approve initial list of previously used evaluators, any added after this will need to go through request/approval process)
  • Develop list of instructors that will be approved without submitting request form. (BOD will approve initial list of previously used evaluators, any added after this will need to go through request/approval process)
