- John Beck
John has used his Cadaver Detection Dogs on numerous searches for many local, state and federal law enforcement agencies in Nebraska and the midwest. In addition to training his own dogs, John serves as a trainer and judge for Midwest Canine Alternatives and has served as an instructor for NASDN and other organizations. John was the Nebraska Coalition for Victims of Crime's Volunteer of the Year in 2004 and received the Lincoln Police Department's Certificate of Merit in 2008. When John is not working with dogs, he earns his living as a filmmaker.
- Roy Engebretson
Roy owns Midwest Canine Alternatives, a business that trains and maintains K9 units for police departments in seven midwestern states. He served as head trainer for the Minneapolis Police K9 Training Center during the 1980's and 1990's. Roy has trained hundreds of teams in patrol work, cadaver detection, drug detection, bomb detection and tracking. He has been certified as a United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) National Judge and Level 3 trainer.
- Michelle Metzner
Michelle is a longtime SAR Dog Handler from Wisconsin. She has worked with multiple breeds including GSD, Bloodhounds, Malinois and Retrievers since 1992 and has been certified in a variety of diciplines by NASDN, NASAR, NOCDS and other organizations. She has instructed a wide variety of classes for national and regeonal organizations. Michelle is a Veterinary Inside Account Manager in Appleton, Wisconsin.
- Chuck Morris
Chuck spent six years as K9 Unit Kennel Master for the El Dorado Correctional Facility, El Dorado, Kansas. He was responsible for the training and care of three narcotic detection/patrol police service canines (one BM and two GSD’s) and two man-tracking canines (Bloodhounds). Chuck served as handler for the facilities Bloodhounds and worked them successfully on a variety of incidents. Chuck and his dogs have been certified by the Kansas Police Dog Association and the North American Search Dog Network.
- Ellen Ponall
Ellen has been working hounds since 1972 in Mantrailing both for SAR and Law Enforcement. She breeds Bloodhounds and has also worked a Malinois in land and water Cadaver Detection. Ellen is President and Trainer of MidWest K-9, ERT. She is also an EMT B for Paw Paw FD., on Sycamore PD Auxilary and is a Member of: National Police Bloodhound Association, USPCA, NAPWDA and the American Bloodhound Club.
She has trained Hounds for several Police Departments and SAR throught the US.
- Bill "Red" Taylor
Bill has been a member of Sault SAR in Sault Saint Marie, Ontario for over forty years. He was a squad leader for twenty five years. Bill has a wealth of experience training and working with Bloodhounds. He is also a licensed radio operator and is responsible for training members of Sault SAR in map and compass techniques, operation of boats, 4 X 4 bikes, specialty trucks and winches. Bill is retired from Bell Canada.
