The North American Search Dog Network was formed in 1988 in response to the need for a readily accessible, detailed list of qualified search dogs and handlers. Our mission has evolved over the years. We now offer a variety of resources to help our members provide extremely high quality services to their communities.

NASDN has established performance standards and evaluations for search dog teams.  Because of these standards and testing, agencies can be assured that teams referred by NASDN are capable of performing as expected.

Each year NASDN holds at least one training seminar.  The purpose of this seminar is to provide introductory, novice and advanced levels of training. Testing and evaluations are also held at the seminar.  The seminar is open to anyone who has a sincere interest.  It is held in a different region of the continent each year to provide greater opportunity for attendance. Instructors are selected for their expertise and come from all over the North American Continent.

NASDN seeks to provide information to both the General Public and Law Enforcement agencies about the many uses and benefits of properly trained canine units.

NASDN MEMBERS are trained and ready to respond to incidents anywhere in North America.

The North American Search Dog Network is a not for profit organization. No community or agency is ever billed for services rendered.

Donations are greatly appreciated.
